London and Southern Counties Centre Elections

NOTICE OF CENTRE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR CENTRE COUNCILLORS

Formal notice is given of the Annual General Meeting of the London & Southern Counties Centre, which is to be held on Friday 20^th April 2012 at the Civic Offices, Sutton. An Open Meeting will take place on the same day and full details of the meeting and a booking form will be published nearer to the date.

There are two elected and one appointed Centre Councillors who are due to retire at the AGM, and who are eligible for re-election. Nominations are therefore invited for three vacancies on the Centre Council for seats to run for a three-year term from April 2012.

Nominees must be Corporate members of the Institution i.e. Fellows, Members, Licentiates, whose registered address is within the London & Southern Counties Centre, and must be proposed and seconded in writing by two other Corporate members also registered within the Centre. The permission of the nominee must be obtained in writing, and the nomination should also include a written personal statement of not more than 250 words giving some biographical details of the nominee, to enable these details to be circulated in the event of a ballot being required. A ballot will be held if more than three nominations are received.

Nominations must be received at the address given above no later than noon on Friday 10^th February 2012. Any nominations received after the stated date and time will be invalid.
