We solve problems for local authorities, businesses, the NHS… anyone in need of support and advice.
And you cover all aspects of waste?
We do have specialisms – mine is stakeholder engagement consultation – but there’s plenty of scope to get involved in other areas too, and that’s one of the things I most enjoy about the job. I like the challenge of talking about different subjects.
Do you even enjoy talking to the public? The great uneducated and the great unwashed?
It can be a challenge, but that’s actually the aspect of the job I like the most, and it’s the bit that’s getting easier too. The public in general are more savvy now. They all recycle – at least they all say they do – and they definitely understand more about waste in general. |
