Teaser TextQ I thought that that the Waste Management Licensing and Pollution Prevention and Control regimes had been replaced by the Environmental Permitting regime. However, some elements of the previous regimes still appear to apply – could you please explain? A The environmental permitting regime was introduced in England and Wales under the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2007 (EPR 2007). The purpose of the new regime was to simplify, consolidate and improve the consenting rules for certain regulated activities.
