The London Borough of Islington, together with contractors Enterprise, has recently procured four new 26-tonne recycling and refuse vehicles. These are one pass three-compartment vehicles designed to collect waste and recyclables all in one trip, rather than dedicated vehicles doing numerous trips to the same address. The vehicles have the capacity to collect refuse, commingled recycling and either food waste or glass in a dedicated front pod. |
