Thousands of businesses that generate clinical waste will soon be offered a free audit to help them comply with the latest waste disposal laws
Waste Recycling Group (WRG), one of the UK waste management and energy recovery company, is contacting more than 7,000 care homes, veterinarysurgeries and public and private sector health care providers offering a detailed audit of their waste management arrangements.
"Current regulation around the disposal of clinical waste is particularly strict, and for good reason," said WRG commercial and industrial director, Paul Burnell.
"The penalties for non compliance can be particularly severe and we're hoping that WRG's clinical waste experts can add real value by advising on best practice, helping with non compliance issues and offering input on how reduce costs and boost efficiencies."
WRG, part of FCC the international environmental services, infrastructure and energy group, launched the offer this month. For more details, contact WRG's Blaydon office, telephone 01914 148992.
