Hills Waste Solutions Limited has been certified for meeting the three international standards of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 for Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Management Systems respectively.
The certification process took in to account all activities and facilities managed by Hills Waste Solutions, which include transport and collection operations, recycling, treatment, transfer and landfill with energy recovery.
Barry Dennis, director general, Environmental Services Association and president of the Chartered Institute of Wastes Management, in his visit to Hills Waste Solutions, said: "Hills is one of a select group of companies in the waste management sector to have achieved certification to the three standards for all its waste management sites. Maintaining these requires a process of continual assessment and improvement which relies heavily on the dedication of all those involved. Hills' commitment to the task is helping to create a positive image for the sustainable waste and resource management industry."
