AEA Appoints Simon Gandy

12 November 2010

Simon Gandy has recently joined the Waste Management and Resource Efficiency Practice at AEA, as a Principal Consultant. Simon comes from Navigant Consulting, where he was an Associate Director in its waste and environment team, leading work on waste market intelligence and WRATE modelling.

Simon's experience includes projects covering waste technologies, waste policy and strategy, packaging, options appraisals and modelling. His background of performing carbon footprinting and life cycle assessment studies is also pertinent to AEA's Energy and Climate Change Practice, at a time when the consultancy is exploring new opportunities across all its practice areas. Simon's early assignments will include assessing WRATE models from bidders in several high profile procurement projects, including North London and Essex.

Adam Read, AEA's Global Practice Lead for Waste Management and Resource Efficiency, said:
"I am really excited by Simon's appointment - he brings a mix of skills that are ideally suited to our current core businesses - public sector waste management strategy, decision-making and procurement, and our support to private sector organisations making tough operational decisions. Having worked with Simon in the past I know he is able to offer insight to our work for the EU, our packaging clients and on our growing LCA business. I am looking forward to working with him once again."
