CIWM Journal

CIWM is described as "the journal for waste and resource management professionals" and its remit has remained unchanged over its 100 year history: to inform and educate its readers as regards the latest industry developments and news, while keeping the Institution's worldwide membership abreast of any internal developments and events.

Published monthly and delivered direct to members' and subscribers' doors, CIWM aims to reflect the latest trends and topics affecting the industry, from the development of new technologies and the latest facilities to vital legislative and best practice updates. As such, reading CIWM not only keeps you up-to-date, but it also contributes towards your continuing professional development.

We constantly strive to improve CIWM and view it as a forum for members to share their views and opinions, be that through the publishing of letters in response to articles or writing a feature yourself. We are keen to encourage contributors to share their knowledge and experience through the pages of CIWM, which contributes greatly to the unique style of the magazine with its wide array of ideas, opinions and subjects.

CIWM Readership

CIWM has held a circulation figure of around 7,500 for the last 12 months. Data gleaned from our latest reader survey shows that CIWM boasts a readership figure of more than 21,000 per month - the highest of any monthly magazine in the sector - and is split almost equally between those in the public and private sector. In addition CIWM is increasingly appealing to those with a resource and waste management responsibility outside of the industry and is reaching sectors such as retail, construction and demolition and facilities management, not only within the UK but also overseas.
