The waste and recycling industry is currently in an exciting period of flux. Once an industry that the “man on the street” would associate largely with bin collections and landfill, it now sits comfortably alongside engineering, construction and manufacturing as a clean, technology-led industry with a truly global presence. We’ve even moved away from the concept of “waste management” and we now talk more about managing resources and how material efficiency links to energy generation, the low carbon economy and new “green” jobs. |
