Professional Development

For everyone who works in Wastes and Resource Management, the next decade will see strong emphasis on raising professional standards in response to legislative, environmental and public pressures. High quality professionals will be in demand.

The basis of a strong high quality professional industry lies with the underpinning knowledge provided by a sound and vigorous education, and during the last few years the growth of waste and resource management education has been one of the key aspects in improved standards.

Wastepack Awards

CIWM and Wastepack are pleased to be able to offer a limited amount of funding to enable individual members of CIWM who are new to the industry to attend one day of a CIWM conference. The bursary will cover the delegate fee and a sum towards travel expenses. Members are invited to apply for an award using the Application Form, which also includes further information and guidance.
