Full Membership of the Institution makes a statement about your professional capabilities and commitment to the industry. Full Members can use the designatory letters MCIWM and the title Chartered Waste Manager.
Entry Criteria:
Has a degree or post-graduate qualification and has a minimum of four years relevant continuous experience in wastes management including structured training.
OR
Is a Corporate Member of a relevant Chartered Institution and has a minimum of two years relevant continuous experience in wastes management.
Experienced Practitioner Route
This route into Membership is designed for those who have considerable experience within the waste industry but have few or no formal qualifications. For full information please click HERE

All applicants for Full Membership are required to attend a professional interview. This procedure is a common entry requirement for most professional bodies. It is strongly recommended that you join at an intermediate grade before attending your professional interview. Click for details on Fast Track Affiliate Membership.
Taking part in the institution's Structured Learning and Development scheme will also help you prepare for your interview.
