CIWM has welcomed the announcement today by the Business Secretary Vince Cable of the appointees to the Green Investment Bank (GIB) Advisory Group.
Chaired by Sir Adrian Montague CBE, the Advisory Group is made up of nine members and will advise Ministers on the establishment of the GIB and its strategic direction:
"This is a heavyweight board with the breadth of expertise needed to ensure that the GIB can play a genuinely significant role in underpinning and accelerating the UK's transition to a green economy," says CIWM chief executive Steve Lee. "CIWM is also particularly pleased at the appointment of Melville Haggard, who brings significant experience in the delivery of waste infrastructure to the table."
