Futuresource 2009 demonstrates its international appeal

Farid, one of Europe's leading municipal vehicle manufacturers, has announced that it has chosen Futuresource 2009 as the main showcase for its latest range of refuse collection and recycling equipment.

The company has doubled its stand space at Futuresource 2009, the new European event for the sustainable waste, recycling and resource management sector and its major client base. Commenting on its commitment to the event, Farid's sales and marketing director Kevin Crowder said:
"Following a strategic review of capital expenditure, we have decided to focus our efforts on Futuresource 2009. We have doubled the size of our stand and will be supported by representatives and key clients from the Farid European Group, including our Spanish and Italian colleagues. The event will provide us with a powerful European showcase for a range of new developments."

Farid is just one of a number of exhibitors who have recently chosen to strengthen their presence at the London ExCeL venue. Geesink Norba UK, part of one of the world's largest suppliers of waste collection and transportation solutions and Johnston Sweepers, a global supplier of outdoor surface cleansing equipment, have both also significantly increased their stand space.

Geoff Rigg, UK Business Director of Geesink Norba, explains: "The Futuresource show is the right platform for Geesink Norba and by being there we can help give it a truly international profile, something befitting the premier show of its kind in Europe. I also believe there's an increasingly important role for the CIWM to play as the industry body and we want to give it our full support.

"We've extended our stand because we have some groundbreaking new products to launch. It's an exciting time for Geesink Norba and we're anticipating that Futuresource is going to be a very busy show."

Since its launch, Futuresource 2009 has twice been expanded to accommodate demand from exhibitors across each of the event's six themed sectors - waste and water management, professional services, air and energy, street scene and facilities management, recycling and composting, and vehicles and plant. The show is now over 75% sold and among the latest big names to join the list of exhibitors are Okay Engineering, Schmidt Sweepers, Defra and Vinci Environmental.

Organised by CIWM in partnership with the Environmental Services Association (ESA), Futuresource 2009 will be a major UK and European showcase for the latest products and services that the sustainable waste, recycling and resource management sector has to offer. The exhibition runs alongside a dynamic three day conference that will tackle all the current challenges and opportunities facing the sector, as well as the latest policy and legislative developments.
