This award will recognise the sustainability of any construction project regardless of size based on the management of materials during construction and, or the use of sustainable materials be they re-used, re-cycled or natural.
Projects do not have to be finished, but if currently under construction evidence of the material and product specification will be required. Projects completed in the last two years will be eligible and may cover one or more of the following: site waste management policy (main site and sub-contractors), waste audit, waste segregation, waste reduction, ordering of materials, use of surplus materials and packaging use / recycling
Applications should provide a brief overview of the project and will be measured against the following criteria:
What makes this project innovative?
Does the project provide quantitative evidence of the benefits incurred and any relevant benchmarking comparisons undertaken?
Explain how the project has gone beyond the regulatory minima including evidence and examples to support the claim.
Explain how gained knowledge has been transferred to other projects and best practice has been shared with other organizations.
